Spoke - in the Lamp is a spoken word and poetry open mic event, usually on the last Wednesday of every second month, from 7:15 to 10:00 pm in The Lamp theatre space at Brownhills Community Centre.
Every two months Al invites a feature performer to be Spoke’s headline act. Both new and experienced writers are very welcome to read and perform their writings to a friendly, mostly local audience. Audience members are very much appreciated.
Spoke is a pay-as-you-feel entrance, but suggested £3 donation.
The Lamp theatre space has seating at tables, cabaret style.
*Free* self-serve teas/coffees!
Other drinks are available at the bar.
