Spoke - in the Lamp is a spoken word and poetry open mic event, usually on the last Wednesday of the month, from 7:15 to 10:00 pm in The Lamp theatre space at Brownhills Community Centre.
The very last Spoke event is 29th May, 2024. (Unless someone comes forward to take it over!?)
Every month and then every two months Al would invite a feature performer to be Spoke’s headline act. Both new and experienced writers very welcome to read and perform their writings to a friendly, mostly local audience. Audience members very much appreciated.
Spoke has been a pay-as-you-feel entrance, with suggested £3 donation.
